Painting a Day Project: #80

Please meet "Don Quixote". (Say it fast, it makes more sense.) He is a wee donkey painted in large scale inspired by the animals at my mum's farm in Colden, NY. He has been many iterations, shades of pink and a great exercise on painting over, having fun, letting go and laughing your ass off (pun intended), while painting. The new catch phrase in the studio is "I'm going all Don Quixote on his ass!"  When you say out loud, "Should I stop?" and you don't because painting a garland offlowers in a donkey's mane is absurdly funny for no reason at all, you're on the right path.

I have never read "Don Quixote", probably won't, but have a fondness for the character now that he has been immortalized. And this quote, this says it all. xoxo

“Thou hast seen nothing yet.”
Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Don Quixote
